Gift Guide Swag: GIFT CARDS

Gift cards! How can you possibly go wrong with them? I love receiving gift cards. It gives you the freedom to choose what you want from your favorite places. A lot of people prefer to receive gift cards over a gift. Sometimes we get those gifts that are just ehhh, not your style, not something you would of ever bought yourself, or just something that you're not quite sure if it has room along with everything else you have. Gift cards are for everyone, with no size required.

Green Smoothie Swaag

In an earlier post, I wrote about how I had been up and down with my diet. Unfortunately, it's still that way. Off and on with dieting is not a good thing. Planning ahead of time is always something that is important when you're on a diet or just trying to live a healthy lifestyle in general. Making sure you have the healthy foods you need on hand and having a set exercise schedule helps you to stick to it.

So Today has been a good day so far. It's Friday and pay day! Of course, some of my money went right back to my job. It never fails. haha.

I bought some stuff to make a green smoothie : ) It will be my first time trying it, so I hope that it turns out to be really good. Food that's is healthy and delicious is a A+. When I try it out, I'll be sure to let you all know how it was and share the recipe with you!

I've always loved the look of Indian Women. It's something about them that just stands out.

The photos we see in the fashion/beauty world of Indian models are always so beautiful.

Especially the beauty aspect, to me at least. I could look at photos of Indian models all day.

The makeup is always so gorgeous. More beautiful than any other models in my eyes.

The Indian fashion style makes the makeup pop so much more.

Plus Size Swaag

Living in this judgemental world, we all know it's hard to dismiss what is said about you and to be completely comfortable in the skin you're in. I'm not talking about the people who are over confident to hide their insecurities, but the ones who are truly happy with themselves.

The media and our peers are a tough crowd. It doesn't matter whether you're skinny, big, tall, short, black, or white. Most people have their image of what everyone should look like and if you don't fit that image, they can try to bring you down.

So that leaves me with the inspiration I have for everyone:

Teen Witch Swaag.

So, One of my favorite movies to watch is Teen Witch (1989). It hardly comes on tv anymore, but when it does and I catch it on, I'm right there watching it. If you don't know about this movie, it's about a young girl who receives her powers when she turns 16 and uses them for popularity - in a short description.

I chose two scenes from the movie that I saw while just browsing some google images and recreated them using Polyvore.

Tribal Inspired Swaag

I've always found myself being drawn to tribal patterns. They're so many different patterns, colors, and a lot of different ways to play them off. The possibilities are close to endless I would say. The only tricky part would be not to OVER do the look. The tribal pattern already has so much going on, you just have to be careful. Pattern mixing could be taken way too far very easily with a tribal print and accessories could end up being over the top, taking the attention away from the main piece.

With that being said, you can still have fun with it and look great.

I used Polyvore to put together some ideas.

Weddings are something that most people attend at least once. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what you want to wear. Fears of dressing too fancy when attention is supposed to be on the lovely bride and groom or fear that you're not dressed up enough. Never fear out-doing the bride. I assure you all eyes will be on her no matter what. I threw together some simple pieces on Polyvore to give an idea of what you could wear to a wedding.

My Apology

Yes, I know I have been MIA. I am truly sorry. I've been sleeping a lot due to a stupid painful wisdom tooth trying to come in. :/ It sucks, but I pinky promise I'll have a new post up tomorrow !
